Getting started
SproutKid is set up by a parent or guardian. The steps:
- Create your account and start your free trial. You'll set this up as the parent.
- Set up a profile for your teen. You'll enter their date of birth so we can confirm they're 13 or older, and you can optionally set a 4-digit PIN for the profile.
- Let them design their companion — its name, look, and personality.
- They're ready to chat. Every message is moderated, and you stay in control from your parent account.
Tip: on a phone, you can add SproutKid to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Managing child profiles
From your parent account you can add a profile, review a profile's conversation history, and delete a profile at any time. Each profile can have its own companion and its own optional PIN.
The companion
Your teen can personalise their companion's name, theme, personality, and voice. They can change these later from the companion settings. The companion is always honest about being an AI — not a real person.
Profile PIN
You can set an optional 4-digit PIN on a child profile so only the right person can open it. Setting, changing, or removing a PIN requires your account password. If you forget a PIN, sign in as the parent to reset it.
Your subscription & billing
SproutKid is €6.99 per month and starts with a 5-day free trial. A payment method is required to begin the trial; you won't be charged during it, and the first charge is taken after it ends unless you cancel. You can cancel any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. Billing is handled securely by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
Privacy & your data
You're in control of your family's data. You can delete a conversation, a profile, or the whole account from inside the app at any time. We show no ads and never sell personal data. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy page.
Troubleshooting
- Didn't get the setup email? Check your spam folder. You can also use the "resend" option on the sign-in screen.
- Can't sign in? Make sure you're using the parent email you signed up with. You can reset your password from the sign-in screen.
- The companion won't respond? Check your internet connection and try again. If it persists, contact us.
- Microphone or voice not working? Make sure your browser has permission to use the microphone and speaker.
